The Foundation
SOPRO Jewellery was founded in 2012 by Andreia Quelhas Lima, a sculptor and jewellery designer based in Porto, Portugal. Her mission—and her greatest joy—has always been creating unique jewellery: meaningful and timeless pieces that make people feel beautiful, empowered, and special every day.
The Author
Andreia is a discreet soul. She loves rock & roll, all manner of insects, and virtually every creature on earth, old botanical books, and every flower in the world. She is an artist, a creative visionary, a designer, a leader, a mother, a devoted dog owner, and a fashion lover. She frequently falls in love with a texture, a leaf, an antique ring. Her bag is a marvellous chaos of nature's treasures.
The Process
It can take us more than two years to launch a new collection. We allow ourselves the luxury of time — to think, to create, to carve, to prototype, to test, and to refine. Our jewellery is handcrafted by skilled artisans who understand the beauty of unhurried creation. Each relief, every engraved element, texture, and placement is brought to life patiently and with precision by devoted human hands. Most collections become permanent residents for many years, and their pieces will accompany you through countless moments of your own story.
The Materials
Our jewellery is crafted from the finest precious metals. We work with Sterling Silver 925, 18k and 19k Gold. Most of our metals come from recycling programmes that we proudly support. The gemstones used in our creations are specially carved for each model. Their tonal and textural variations confirm they are entirely natural. Your jewel is precious and absolutely unique in the whole World.
